Howdy, Peeps!
This post is about how much I love January. I’m going to make a list.
- I love that it is cold, because when you live in South Carolina, but used to live in Massachusetts, it’s REALLY hot.
- I love how pretty the bare and white trees are. (Which sounds crazy. I mean, who loves bare trees? THIS GIRL DOES!)
- I like that you have to bundle up, then, that way, you have more stuff to take off if you’re hot!
- I like that I can jump on my trampoline… without burning up.
- I like that when I get into my mini van, the leather seat is not scalding, and ready to burn my legs.
- I like the cozy feeling of being inside on a cold day, snuggling into a blanket, with some hot cocoa, and watching a movie.
What’s your favorite time of year? Why do you like it? Tell me in the comments!

I love your list, Anna! I really like drinking lots of hot tea when it’s cold, burning candles, and getting to bundle up to walk outside in the crisp air! I do like that we have a garage now, which we didn’t have in Massachusetts–and apparently the wrens like it, too! 😉 Love you, my winter girl! ~Mom
I know! Those wrens want to move in with us! Haha! I love burning my new candle! Thanks!
Love you!
I love January for all of those reasons as well, plus the fact it’s my birthday month! (:
Happy Birth- Month to you! 😀
I’m glad you like winter! The trees are interesting even when bare. I saw a red bird or cardinal in a tree yesterday and it looked so pretty against the bare branches. Each season has its special character. I call January the quiet month. Spring is my favorite time of year as I’m always surprised by everything budding and blooming. Winter’s rest—then a new beginning of another kind of beauty.
